Marketing Coordinator

Since 1961, Eastern European Mission (EEM) has been providing God’s Word to the people of Russia, Ukraine, and Eastern Europe in their own languages. EEM is a Dallas-based, Christian organization that provides Bibles and biblical literature in more than 20 languages to nations of the former Communist Bloc.  This role will require a heart for missions and a passion for sharing the Word of God.

This is a small office environment that coordinates domestic and international operations. We offer a relaxed, friendly, Christian atmosphere where employees often perform different tasks to support the mission. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position. Hours are generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Summary:

Coordinator - Marketing, Communications and Social Strategy will develop, manage and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to support EEM’s overall mission and vision.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to implement short-term and long-term strategic marketing plans that capitalize on opportunities to target new and existing ministry partner segments, contribute to the achievement of strategic business plan objectives to drive donations and achieve optimal brand awareness.

This role will require a heart for mission and a passion for sharing the Word of God with everyone in order to market the mission of EEM in an effective and creative manner. S/he will be responsible for leading an array of core communications activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop compelling and creative marketing campaigns to promote EEM’s ministry.
  • Manage and develop marketing materials that are consistent with the organizations objectives.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy and presence across various platforms.
  • Provide leadership on the development and distribution of written, oral and electronic communication in order to deliver the organization's story to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Lead proactive media and public relations efforts to support organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to communicate the organization’s values and mission.
  • Manage and oversee advertising, events and public relations involvement.
  • Develop and direct methodology to facilitate information sharing among all regional offices. 

Qualifications:

Preferred and Highly Desirable Skills:

  • Management and oversight of a website build, re-design or maintenance.
  • Experience working with Photoshop, InDesign and/or other graphic design programs.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing and Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, English or related field.
  • 0-2 years experience.
  • A passion for the ministry of EEM.
  • Practiced knowledge of employee communications, change communications and communication strategy concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively execute integrated communications plans while coordinating with multiple regional offices.
  • Knowledge and experience maximizing website and social media and to improve brand awareness, and other company objectives.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and oral communication skills with strong business acumen and ability to create messaging that drives engagement.
  • Outstanding time management and organization abilities.

Administrative Assistant/Database Coordinator

Job Description:

The Office Coordinator will report directly to the Office Manager. Duties include but are not limited to: Gift processing, updating and maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Donor database in Raiser's Edge, with assistance from the Office Manager as needed.  The Office Coordinator works within the guidelines, policies, and mission of Eastern European Mission.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain & process donor record corrections and updates to the Raiser’s Edge database as needed.
  • Track outstanding gift pledges and mail pledge reminders monthly.
  • Assist with processing daily donations and prepare receipt/acknowledgement letters and other correspondence in a timely (within 24 to 72 hours) and accurate fashion. 
  • Continually add, update and correct database records, including routine database cleanup projects. 
  • Build queries and run reports as requested by the President, Vice President and Office Manager in a timely manner
  • Prepare & plan for the annual Million Dollar Sunday campaign, appeal letters and events in regards to database coding and pledge processing.
  • Organize, coordinate and maintain the integrity of the electronic filing system currently in place.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude 
  • Exhibits flexibility in duties and work-style 
  • Maintain good attendance record 

 


Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to be tactful, discreet and diplomatic; ability to entrust sensitively with confidential information and material.
  • Knowledge of the fundraising process.
  • Excellent Analytical skills
  • Ability to think independently and possess a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous database management, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software.
  • Experience in preparing complex reports.
  • Experience with current Windows-based office programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Bachelors Degree and 2 years of experaince
