Million Dollar Sunday
Million Dollar Sunday is our annual fundraising campaign that allows you and your church to partner with us in giving the Word of God to the people of Eastern Europe – free of charge. Starting each September, the campaign is an ongoing collective effort by churches, small groups and individuals across the U.S. and other parts of the world to raise the funds needed to provide Bibles and Bible-based materials for the opportunities that year.
For nearly a decade, Million Dollar Sunday has been instrumental in the successful implementation of various projects, such as providing Bibles to public schools in Ukraine, Croatia and Romania, and giving Bibles in the Arabic and Farsi languages to Muslim refugees. Through Million Dollar Sunday, partners like you have placed the Bible, free of charge, in front of over 4.5 million students.
In 2017, nearly 1.2 million Bibles and Bible-based materials were distributed. This was the first time in EEM’s 57-year history to break a million in its annual distribution.
One recent testimony to the impact of the campaign comes from Slovenia, where 50,000 copies of the first modern adaptation of the original Dalmatin New Testament were distributed to schools, libraries and citizens. President Borut Pahor was in attendance for the presentation, led by Bart Rybinski, EEM’s Vice-President for European Operations.
“EEM is excited to be part of this effort to bring back the word of God to the people of Slovenia, to enable Slovenian passion and love for reading God’s word in their modern language,” Mr. Rybinski shared. “We can’t wait to see how God will change lives in this beautiful country.”
Day by day we are filled with gratitude and joy as we hear about the incredible ways the Good News of Jesus has changed lives of the hopeless. Your participation in Million Dollar Sunday can help us spread more of these seeds and see them sprout in His time.
